AlFAN Soul Meal

     A lot of believers live their lives in the universe of sin consciousness, and so they never see themselves as good enough to stay in the presence of God. They commit a trespass today and live in the consciousness of it for over two decades, feeling condemned every time they remember the trespass. By doing so, they are behaving exactly like Adam and Eve did in the garden of Eden after eating of the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And if you are this type of person who runs away from God, I hear God calling, "Adam, where are you? Come unto me, you who labour and are heavy laden under the yoke of sin, and I will give you rest, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

     Unknown to many of us, what the devil does is to shoot the arrow of sin at us so he can break our relationship with God and make us lose our dominion and authority that came from that relationship. Remember, he is our adversary and he has no other ministry. Although God did not like Adam's sin in the garden, He did not condemn Adam. It was Adam who separated himself from God by running into hiding because of sin consciousness instead of grace consciousness. This is what the majority of believers do when they fall into sin. This is the reason Paul asked this question: Shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound? In other words, should you ponder and beat yourself concerning this sin you committed, neglecting the grace that is available to you?
     If you sin, forget the sin and begin to see the love of God toward you; then grace will abide. On the other hand,  if you do not see the love of God, you will break your fellowship with God and grace will not be able to locate you. To continue in sin, as used by Paul means to  allow that one single mistake take you away from God, from praying and even from the local assembly because of self condemnation.  If God does not condemn you, why do you condemn yourself?
